How To Be Healthy & Strong By Using Ginger, Turmeric & Garlic


Spices are being used in families from generations. These spices just not only bring the change in the color of the food but also bring a specific taste. They are not just used in cooking only but also have many medicinal effects. According to old tales, women from the Chinese dynasty and other countries have been using these spices as home remedies for treating common flu, wounds, and digestion. These spices are used in home remedies because of the beneficial effects of preservatives and anti-inflammation properties. As the world is in chaos because of COVID19, we should embrace the measures (spices) that are beneficial in improving the immunity of a person to avoid unnecessary harm. Ginger, Turmeric, and Garlic are famous for ages because of its antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties. Aside from these properties, they are helpful against the virus and invading bacteria.

Ginger:



Ginger benefits comprise a great deal in the medicine not in the Ayurvedic (Traditional) but also in Western medicine. Researchers are studying and emphasizing on ginger health benefits. Ginger is good for fighting against the bacteria and germs like Shigella and Escherichia Coli. It inhibits the growth of these bacteria further preventing the germs from spreading and causing harm to the organs and body. Aside from these germs, the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) can also be prevented by taking fresh ginger. Moreover, ginger is enriched with Gingerol, an active component that fights against the bacteria of the oral cavity and keeps the equilibrium in check to inhibit periodontal diseases. It also aids in digestion, getting rid of the build-up gas in the intestines, eases nausea and vomiting not just in pregnancy but in normal routine too. Swelling is reduced through the fresh ginger because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Gingerol not only just fights against the bacteria but also inhibits the growth of the cancerous cells in the liver, breast, ovarian, skin, gastric, colorectal, and prostate cancer. Even Ginger tea has a lot of benefits in treating the sore muscle to taming to the swelling of the joints (in Arthritis) and relieving pain and cramps in the periods. The tea helps in lowering and stabilizing the blood glucose levels (BGL) and cholesterol. It helps the body to use insulin with care and lowers the level of low-density lipoprotein (LDL). Gingerbread is a very famous appetizing cookie that is known not just in England but all over the world and helps in curing the sadness. This is the only confection that uses ginger along with honey and other spices. There is no restriction on how to use ginger, it can be used in the form of powder, oil, dried, or fresh. The ginger plant can be grown at the home in an organic environment and can be freshly used in cooking.


Turmeric:



Turmeric is somewhat similar to ginger and expresses almost the same qualities. It is mostly used in India and Asia, not just in cooking but in medicine too. Turmeric health benefits are being studied by the researchers and according to them (not tested yet) it helps in relieving the depression through the help of an active component, Curcumin found in the ginger. It works alongside with antidepressants and makes the medicine work better. What turmeric is good for is usually searched and it is good for controlling blood sugar levels (BGL) because of its active component and helps in preventing and treating Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It also helps in lowering the level of bad cholesterol that is low-density lipoprotein. It helps in fighting against the attacking virus, flu, and herpes. Moreover, tea made from turmeric is also good for relieving the symptoms of Premenstrual syndrome (PMS). A study was implemented on the guinea pigs and rats and it was concluded that the use of turmeric helps in easing the abdominal cramps in periods. Turmeric can be used to inhibit the growth of cancerous cells and enzymes detoxification. It also helps in treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and digestion. Turmeric roots can be used from outdoors to be implanted in the homes so that fresh turmeric can be used. As Curcumin is enriched with the properties of anti-inflammation, it aids in relieving the chronic inflammation in Alzheimer’s and also helps in curing the stiffness of the joints (in Arthritis). Turmeric side effects are minimal or say near to zero but some immune-compromised people may have the complaint of nausea, diarrhea, or dizziness. Turmeric is the best home remedy in the treatment of headaches and migraines. Turmeric mask for face can be used for the treatment of acne because of its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.


Garlic:



Garlic is used at every household for home remedies. It is mostly used in the treatment of hypertension, atherosclerosis, cardiovascular diseases, and stabilizing the level of low-density lipoprotein (in cholesterol) because of its antibiotic properties. Just like ginger and turmeric, it attacks the invading bacteria and further inhibits the bacteria in the intestines, for instance, Campylobacter bacterium because of Diallyl Sulfide that is an active component in garlic. Most of the cancers (lung, brain, and prostate) are said to be treated by the use of garlic but there is no concrete evidence yet. It is highly effective for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the hip. Cirrhosis and alcoholic fatty liver can also be cured and prevented by the use of garlic.

Overall it may be said that ginger, turmeric, and garlic has a lot of positive health benefits. They not just improve immunity by inhibiting the growth of the unwanted bacteria but also the side effects are minimal. From this positive effect, theses spices should be used in a remedy to control the pandemic. As these spices help control diabetes, cholesterol, and cancer, they will also help in fighting against the deadly Coronavirus by improving immunity. These spices will keep the people safe and respiratory system intact.
